About our Speakers
John Bigay is VP Marketing at BzzAgent, the first and only international word-of-mouth media network that helps companies organize and manage honest, real-world conversations among everyday consumers. BzzAgent's clients generate awareness and shape perception about their products and services via the company's growing community of more than 340,000 trained consumer volunteers. John has 17 years of experience in the media and entertainment industries, with more than 7 years in digital and non-traditional media. Before joining BzzAgent, he was the vice president of marketing for Gannett's Captivate Network where he directed the media company's marketing and on-air programming efforts. John previously held various marketing positions with PRI's Public Interactive, Atmosphere Entertainment, Universal Music, MCA Records and Geffen Records.
Brian Cavoli is the Director of Marketing for TNS Media Intelligence/Cymfony . Cymfony analyzes social media to help companies measure the effectiveness of their PR/corporate communications and to gain greater insights into the emerging trends and influencers impacting their business. Brian has an extensive background in all aspects of interactive marketing. Prior to Cymfony, Brian started the search engine marketing group in the U.S. for MPG Media Contacts and he created the Innovation Engine, an emerging technologies initiative at Carat. Brian has also held marketing management positions at Monster.com and Instant Information. Brian is a former executive committee member of BIMA, the Boston Interactive Media Association. In 2005, Brian's team won MediaWeek's Media Plan of the Year for "Best Use of Internet."
